Get the Bowl or the Pho! Both were very good and easily the best deal going in the cafe!

As a long time staff member I'm so over their high prices and poor quality. They have a captive audience with us since we can't leave for lunch.
They also deceive staff and public- See pics of their hummus which is actually tasty. Notice how they put the word GO right over the price of $8.00 for a tiny container of hummus and they don't fill halfway. I pointed this out to management and they said "oh that's a mistake, we'll fix that" Well three months later, its still not fixed. Pricing should be legible!
Limp & brown lettuce in their chef salads, roast beef sandwiches have more gristle than meat. Do yourself a favor, bring your own food or bring $$$$ for $ food. -

On a cold Los Angeles afternoon we were happy to find the cafe and order coffee to go as we toured the gardens. Worst cup of the year. Threw it away. Please change coffee providers

I don't know why the reviews for this place are so bad! I know it's a cafe at a museum so it's more around for convenience, but I was impressed with the service, interior and exterior design, the views and the flowers, and my chicken pho. It was a large portion and the broth was warm and complex. There was also a decent portion of chicken in it, which made me pleasantly surprised.
This is a food court-type place so I would recommend walking around to see the different options before you order! There's salads, Asian noodles, sandwiches, pastas, etc--the diverse selection means there's something for everyone. Then you pay and find a table--warning: this could be difficult because the Cafe will be packed! I'd recommend sitting outside--the flowers are beautiful and the views are amazing.
Yes, the food is on the pricier side, but it's convenient and good quality. The Getty itself is free! What more could you ask for? -

I'm eating the worst grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had in my life. That it sat under a heat lamp to the point of dessication is just part of the problem.
For $9.31, I would expect at least artisan bread. Alas, not so. The prices at the cafe are way higher than I recall from previous visits. I realize that the museum is free, but soaking the patrons at the food venues leaves a bad taste in more ways than one.
I would feel better about spending in the gift shop if I wasn't overcharged at the cafe. On the other hand, the views are stupendously beautiful. Attendants circulate to keep the tables clean.
High marks for the setting and vistas, but many deductions for a lack of value on the food selections.
